Fees for Customs Escorts

Customs escorts can be required in Romania whether or not the goods are carried
under cover of a TIR carnet. An escort may also be required if the customs authorities consider it necessary (if they suspect an irregularity concerning the transport operation; if the value of the customs duties and taxes for the goods exceeds US$50,000; when the consignor, the consignee or the carrier requests it etc.).Tariffs are as follows :

- customs escort - 0.50 Euro / km

- parking in customs areas - 30 Euro / hour

* Please note that VAT is included in both tariffs.
