Other Information
The Romanian National Company of Motorways and National Roads decided to discontinue weighing tanker vehicles. The total laden weight will be established according to the documents accompanying the vehicle and its load. Thus, there will be no tolerance anymore. Total laden weight in Romania is set at 40 tons.
List of phíto/sanitary and veterinary check points at the Romanian border crossing points
Following the letter no 165868 dated 4.06.2002 received from the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Forests, the National Health and Veterinary Agency - Animal Health Department, all road vehicles carrying livestock and products which are submitted to sanitary-veterinary control, entering or transiting the Romanian territory through the road border crossing points will be disinfected under sanitary-veterinary supervision. The disinfection of road vehicles is compulsory using products registered in Romania, according to the instructions of the product and depending on the hygienic state of the surfaces that have to be disinfected.
The fees will be collected by the local authorities and their amount differs from one customs checkpoint to another.
Starting with 22nd of April 2000, Romania became a contracting party to ATP.
