COVID-19:new measures for travelling to Romania between 10 December 2021 – 8 January 2022

The National Committee for Emergency Situations in Romania issued new measures for traveling to Romania between 10 December 2021 (00h00) – 8 January 2022 (24.00), more information here (in Romanian).

Drivers of goods vehicles, as well as those who provide passenger transport, who are not vaccinated or recovered, arriving from Member States of the European Union, the European Economic Area or the Swiss Confederation:

- coming from the green or yellow zone are excepted from quarantine or a negative result of an RT-PCR test for SARS- CoV-2 infection, under the conditions of travel for professional purposes.

- coming from the red zone are excepted from quarantine if they show the negative result of an RT-PCR test for SARS- CoV-2 infection performed no later than 72 hours before entering the country, under the conditions of travel for professional purposes.

Drivers of goods vehicles, as well as those who provide passenger transport, who are not vaccinated or recovered, arriving from non-EU countries:

- are excepted from quarantine if they show the negative result of an RT-PCR test for SARS- CoV-2 infection performed no later than 48 hours before entering the country, regardless of the classification of the countries (green, yellow, or red), under the conditions of travel for professional purposes.
